Absolutely! If you’ve never even held an instrument before that’s okay, we can go through all you need to get you started without picking up any bad habits.

A guitar (Acoustic or Electric) or bass of your own is something I’d recommend. For in person lessons, I do have instruments you can borrow for the session if you’re stuck. But for keeping consistent practice and playing at home, an instrument of your own is highly recommended.

I have over 4 years experience working in music retail and am a self labelled ‘‘gear nerd’’. I can recommend any piece of musical equipment you need to achieve a certain sound or that caters to a physical need.

I teach from home, at my apartment in Hastings, online via Zoom and can arrange to come to you if you are local to the Hastings/St Leonards area at an additional cost.

30-60 minutes a day would be great, but even 10 minutes consistently beats an hour occasionally. ‘‘A little, often’’ builds the habit, a surprising amount of progress happens quietly between session as your brain processes what you’ve learnt
